Terms of service

These terms cover the Auttaja bot and the dashboard on this site, together "the service", operated by the Auttaja Dev Team. Adding the bot to a server, running one of its commands, or signing in to the dashboard means you accept them. If you do not, do not use the service.

The service

Auttaja moderates Discord servers: it applies punishments staff ask for, runs automated detection, logs events, onboards members, and lets a server's managers configure all of that from the dashboard. It runs on Discord and needs a Discord account; Discord's own terms and community guidelines apply alongside these.

Who may use it

You must meet Discord's minimum age. To change a server's settings you must hold the Manage Server permission in that server, and to run a moderation command you must hold whatever permission that server has set for it. You are responsible for what is done with your Discord account.

Running a server with it

The people who add the bot to a server decide how it behaves there, and they answer for those choices. In particular, a server that turns on message logging is responsible for telling its members that it does so and for using the logs lawfully. The privacy policy says what the bot stores and for how long.

What you may not do

• Use the service to harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
• Use it to break the law, Discord's terms, or another person's rights.
• Interfere with it: probe or overload it, work around a limit it applies, or try to read another server's data.
• Copy the software, or pass it off as your own; it is proprietary.

Availability

The service is provided as it is, without a promise that it will be available at a given time or free of faults. Features may change or be withdrawn; where a change matters it is announced in the support server. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law; beyond that, the Auttaja Dev Team is not liable for loss arising from the service's use or unavailability, including moderation actions taken on a server's instructions.

Ending things

A server may remove the bot at any time, and you may sign out of the dashboard at any time. The team may remove the bot from a server, or refuse a user, that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.

These terms may be updated; the new text appears here with a new date at the top, and using the service after that means you accept it. Questions go to the support server.
